How to Write a Good Article
We are all in the know when it comes to the raw power and efficacy of online marketing through article publication. We can even say that article marketing is the most powerful and least risky internet advertising tactic that has been conceptualized since the dawn of the digital realm.
Simply put, if you own an internet enterprise, you have to use article marketing.
Despite this maxim, one of the most common questions I receive is this: how can I prepare a good article?
It seems that though most online businessmen know that they have to pursue article marketing, not everyone is capable enough to craft a web-worthy piece of informative content.
Therefore, I have prepared some simple steps on how you can write the best kind of good article for internet advertising purposes.
- Know the subject you want to discuss with your article.
- Don’t attempt to write about a broad subject. Filter it down to something that people will be fascinated with. By way of example, don’t tackle the broad topic of “dogs.” Try to determine a sub-topic that will tickle the fancies of the market you will be aiming for. As is often the case, this sub-topic pertains to a particular demand, like “dog training” for dog owners who are having problems with their disobedient canine companions, or “dog grooming” for clealiness compulsive dog owners who can’t live with the smell of their untidy canine friends. You need to find a sub-topic that will click. This is very important. Countless articles fail because they don’t tackle a more tangible topic.
- Since the sub-topic should serve a need, your article should provide a solution. But, depending on the purpose of the article, the solution you will share will vary. To illustrate, if you’re going to use the article to market a product, then hold back on the answer you will share. Your aim, in such a situation, is to provide the impression that you are an expert in the field, and invite your readers to check out what you will be offering. Always remember this as you prepare your article.
- Formulate an attention grabbing title that is immediately understandable but exciting. Internet users will visit your article if they will like its title. Otherwise, no one will view what you have written.
- Remember that an article has 3 essential parts: the opening, the body, and the ending. The opening will introduce what your work is all about. You can deliver a surprising fact, an alarming statistic, or a humorous anecdote to shake your readers into realizing that yes, you are the a true expert in the field. The body will discuss the message you wish to relay, of course. And the conclusion will summarize the problem, the given solution, as well as deliver some calls to action (i.e. click my link) if necessary.
- How long should your article be? It’s safe to say that 300 to 750 words would be fantastic!
These are just some easy tips for article writing. It is not difficult to write a good article all it takes is some planning and a little thought. With time you will find it gets a lot quicker.
